PDF Longlife Suite Version 3 available
PDF/A is the standardized archiving format for PDF files. The ISO standard was actualized now. PDF Longlife Suite from SEAL Systems is a product family for generation, check and correction of standardized PDF/A data. With integration modules the procedures are quickly usable for many PLM and DMS systems. With version 3 PDF Longlife Suite was adapted to the currect actualized standard developments.

PDF Longlife Suite was strongly improved to be PDF/A-ready and is now available as version 3. PDF LLS 3 is delivered with pre-set on check protocol PDF/A-1b. All other check protocols, lilke PDF/A-1a, some SEAL Systems specific, practise proven profiles, compatible to the PDF/A-1-series, as well as profiles for level a, b and u of standardized part 2 can be set by according the requests. For many customers, now the way is free for level 2b, which reachable very simple in comparision with other levels.
Users of PDF LLS will recognise, that many problems with non-compatible fonts and can be solved and that color representation can be adapted to the standard rules. This is possible now by using the proven Callas SDK for the lowest level of the software architecture. Callas SDK is known as a preflight check tool in all Adobe Acrobat products. Therefore it is a well-proven systems in conneciton with Adobe products. This was reason enough for us, to bet on the best check engine, available on the market.
For customers, who have an own integration for PDF Longlife suite into their systems environment, based on the already existing configuration and log files, nothing will change with the handling of their processes. The integration level of customer environment is kept by SEAL Systmes equally to the predecessor version.
an update on PDF LLS 3 is free of charge for all seal systems customer with maintenance contract. The change to this versiion is necessary for customers, who want to use the new revision of PDF/A. Furthermore it is recommendable for customers, who want an improved adaption and solution of already known errors in their files.
PDF Longlife Suite constists of a standardized DPF-based process for check of PDF files and the adaption according to the PDF/A ISO standard. Additionally there is an integration in SAP DMS for automatic quality checks of existing PDF files and with creation of PDF files, as well as for archiving of files with ArchiveLink. There are more powerful integrations available for PDM systems, for example Teamcenter, SEAL Systems is a member of the PDF/A Competence Centerorganisation. |
